About

Our Mission

Hospice of the Calumet Area, a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life through compassionate care for individuals and families facing a life-limiting illness.

At Hospice of the Calumet Area, we can sum up our reason for being here in a simple phrase: we cherish life.

We cherish life at a time when others may feel like giving up.

We cherish life by recognizing just how precious each day is.

We cherish life by treating it with the utmost respect and dignity.

We cherish life by applying all of our professional skills and personal passion.

We cherish life in all the ways it means to be alive – physically, emotionally and spiritually.

We cherish life by celebrating the positive aspects of today and reflecting on treasured moments of the past.

We cherish life without regard to age, gender, nationality, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, diagnosis or financial status.
