Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott was the first featured and both Mahlmann and McDermott realized how to take advantage of the setting they were in. http://www.nwindianalife.com/community/government-community-resources/65632-life-on-the-streets-of-hammond-featuring-mayor-thomas-mcdermott-jr 0:00 Intro 0:13 Exploring Hammond's Famous Bike Path 0:59 Hammond Marina and the Impact of Mayor Thomas McDermott, Sr. 3:57 McDermott's Life in the Political Spotlight & Marissa McDermott's venture into politics 6:28 McDermott on Neighboring Politics with other Mayors 8:03 Seeing Lost Marsh Golf Club and the history behind the club 8:51 Wolf Lake Pavillion's Impact in Hammond 10:53 McDermott shares Hammond's new bike path 12:05 Festival of the Lakes and McDermott's secret rock star side.
