Sunday Matinee at Thomas Library to screen American Hustle
Sunday Matinee will take place at the Library Service Center, 100 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton, at 1:30 pm on Sunday, May 4, with a showing of American Hustle. Westchester Public Library films are free of charge and open to the public.
Watch American Hustle as con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), along with his seductive partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper), who pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia.

Friday Night Movie at Thomas Library
Westchester Public Library will host Friday Night at the Movies on Friday, May 2 at 6:30 pm. Families are invited to view the Robin Hood in the Children’s Department at Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton. No registration is necessary. Library films are free of charge and open to the public.
In this imaginative version of the classic story, fun and romance abounds as Robin Hood, the swashbuckling hero of Sherwood Forest, and his valiant sidekick plot one daring adventure after another to outwit the greedy prince and his partner as they put the tax squeeze on the poor.
Robin Hood is rated G and has a running time of 83 minutes. Copies of the movie are available for checkout at Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton, and at Hageman Library, 100 Francis Street, Porter.

Lego Club at Thomas Library
Westchester Public Library’s continuing Lego Club will meet Friday, May 9, at 6:30 pm. Clubbers meet in the Children’s Department at Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton. Attendance is free of charge. Registration is necessary. Children ages six years and up are welcome to sign up in the Children’s Department.
Children will get a bucket of Legos and may build something from their own imaginations.

Introduction to the Internet Class at Thomas Library
Bits and Bytes will continue Thursday, May 15, from 1-4 pm at Westchester Public Library with Introduction to the Internet. Attendees will meet in the Bertha Wood meeting room on the second floor of Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton. The class is free, but registration is required as computer stations are limited.

Introduction to the Internet will answer the questions what is the Internet, where did it come from, and how does it work? Introduction to the Internet will cover different types of Internet access. The class will teach users how to easily find information they are looking for on the Internet, demonstrate different browsers, and how to customize a browser. Different types of web sites including search engines, social networking, cloud storage, cloud computing, and email and messaging tools will also be explored.

Knitting Together at the Museum
Area knitters are invited to gather in the Brown Mansion parlor for a cozy afternoon of knitting, conversation, and refreshments on Sunday, May 4, from 1-5 pm for Knitting Together. The program is free of charge and open to the public. Those who crochet or do needlework are also welcome to attend.
Attendees will enjoy viewing the temporary exhibit Needlework through the Ages, which will run through May 25.
The Westchester Township History Museum, a cultural and educational service of Westchester Public Library, is housed in the Brown Mansion at 700 W. Porter Ave., Chesterton. The museum is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 pm. Groups may make reservations for tours by calling the museum at 983-9715.
