Spots are still available for this year’s Camp FUNset hosted by Porter County Parks and Recreation. Camp FUNset offers 8, week-long, sessions each with a different theme that is sure to appeal to every child.
This year’s camp will host a variety of old favorites in addition to a wide array of new activities, guest speakers and adventures. Each camp will include activities such as archery, arts & crafts, team-building, games, and grand finale events. In addition, every camp will host unique activities and special guests based on their themes, including dunk tanks, parades, life-size art murals, martial arts training and more!
The first camp, FUNset Olympics, will run from June 16-19th and include a grand finale Olympic event where campers will participate in friendly competition in a variety of sports and activities. All of this will be proceeded by expert martial art training, team sports, outdoor adventures and more. This will be followed by a closing ceremony to bring the week’s myriad of events to a close.
In addition to FUNset Olympics, other camps offered include Amazing Art, Celebrate, Pioneer Days, Animal Adventures, Wild Water, Aspiring Artists, and Wondrous Wilderness.
Camps are open to those entering 1st-8th grades and run Monday-Thursday from 9-3. The cost is $80 per week-kids can register in as many weeks/camp sessions as they like.
