St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point began its OPEN APPLICATION period for new students on St. Valentine’s Day. More than forty families showed up to turn in enrollment applications for spots for next school year. The school advertised that it would begin accepting applications for new students at 8:00 AM. The first parent to arrive and start the line came at 4:00 AM. “Here at St. Mary’s we have parents who are prominent public figures and we have parents who are blue- collar workers. The thing we all have in common is that we want the best for our kids and we’re willing to make sacrifices to provide it” said principal, Tom Ruiz.
St. Mary’s still has room for new students for the 2019-2020 school year at most grade levels. More information, including the staff roster, Istep scores, and extra-curricular activities, can be found at stmarycp.org/school.
