Northwest Health to Present April HealthyU Seminar Sweet Dreams: Why Good Sleep Matters

Curious about the science of sleep and its profound impact on your life? If so, join neurologist Asia Filatov, MD, M.B.A. to learn more about unlocking the science of sleep and how to establish a good sleep routine at Northwest Health’s next HealthyU wellness seminar. The free event entitled Sweet Dreams: Why Good Sleep Matters will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in the Community Room at Northwest Health – Porter located 85 E. U.S. Hwy. 6 in Valparaiso.

Dr. Filatov’s presentation will include:

  • How sleep affects your immune system, appetite, breathing, blood pressure and cardiovascular health;
  • How lack of sleep increases your risk for obesity, influences your mood and puts you at greater risk for developing depression; and
  • The two most common sleep disorders – insomnia and sleep apnea.

There will be a question and answer session at the end of the talk.
