Munster High School Junior Selected as Coolidge Senator

Munster-High-School-Junior-Selected-as-Coolidge-SenatorMunster High School Junior, Shreyas Iyer, was recently accepted as a Coolidge Senator by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation. In honor of our 30th president, the Coolidge Foundation awards annually a full-ride scholarship to any accredited university in the United States. Coolidge scholars are distinguished by their academic excellence, interest in public policy, and appreciation for the values of humility, service, and leadership that Mr. Coolidge championed.

The Coolidge foundation receives over 3,200 applicants each year for its Scholarship program, and Munster High School junior Shreyas Iyer was selected to the semifinal round of the program thereby ranking in the top 2% of all applicants nationally. Coolidge Senators’ grades and test scores are higher than the average scores of most Ivy League schools and being named a Coolidge Senator means that Shreyas will have the opportunity to attend the Coolidge Senators Washington Summit.

He will be flown to Washington D.C. for an all-expenses-paid weekend of in-depth tours, have access to seminars with prominent speakers, and be given the opportunity to network with other high-achieving students and national leaders from around the country. Munster High School would like to congratulate Shreyas Iyer on his momentous achievement.
