Merrillville students become CNAs

The Merrillville Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees recently recognized nine students who completed the requirements to become CNAs (certified nursing assistants).

These students successfully passed the Indiana State test and clinical exam, earning them the ability to take care of patients in hospitals, long-term residential facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, adult daycares and more.

Nursing Coordinator Tina Foreman presented each one with a pin, and the students received their certificates in front of board members, corporation administrators and family members.  The group consisted of eight seniors and one junior.
