Lake Station celebrates region’s veterans with a two-day festival

The Hoosier Vet Fest is a two day festival in honor of our veterans. This event is free to the community thanks to regional sponsors. 

Craft and resource vendors will be on site for attendees to visit. Food trucks will be selling food and desserts. Cool treats like paletas and snow cones will be available for purchase also. Entertainment for children includes, bounce houses, an escape room, face painting and balloon art. 

On Friday night, Little Miss Make Believe will entertain the kids with special activities and on Saturday, Enchanted Tales NWI will have princess and hero characters to take photos with. Free concerts will take place in the evenings. Admission is free, parking is $5.00 with shuttles available from nearby parking lots. 

At 3:00pm on Saturday, a special ceremony for veterans will take place. Special Dignitary Dennis Wimer, Indiana Director for Veteran Affairs will be the guest speaker. 

A veteran motorcycle ride is scheduled for Saturday morning, 9:00am. All riders will meet at the park and leave as a group at 10:00am. After the ride, they will be treated to a free BBQ.
