Using Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, enjoy experimenting, designing, building, computing, and crafting. This month explore winter, hibernation and cold weather.

Story Hour for 4s & 5s
Tuesdays, December 2 & 16
10:30 a.m. & 1 p.m.
4 and 5 year old children will hear stories and participate music activities, rhymes, crafts and other related activities with an emphasis on important early reading skills.

'Paws'-itively Reading Fun
Wednesday, December 3
5 p.m.
Children of all ages will read to licensed therapy dogs and participate in reading activities, games, and crafts. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult.

Mother Goose on the Loose
Fridays, December 5 & 19
10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.
Babies and toddlers, birth to 36 months of age, will participate in stories, nursery rhymes, finger play and music activities designed to enhance important pre-literacy skills.

Crafting Mania: Tis the Season

4 p.m.
Time for candy, décor, toys and more. Make chocolate candy, decorations, a stuffed sock toy, and other creations. All materials and snacks provided.

Block Party

With blocks of all sizes have fun with your children while learning how to help them develop a variety of skills at five stations dedicated to specific abilities. In this Purdue Extension Agency program parents/caregivers will be provided with parenting tips and how to help their child develop proficiency.

Toddler Time

Toddlers, 2 to 3 years of age accompanied by a caregiver, will participate in stories, finger play, music activities, crafts and more. Activities will help to develop important pre-literacy skills.

Tis the Season to Get Crafty

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcomed to the library to 'get their craft on' with a Christmas twist.

New Year's Bash

Ring in the New Year (a little early) as you dance, party, hear stories, craft, and count down to 'midnight.' Fun for all ages to welcome 2015!

Fancy Nancy Extravaganza

Children of all ages are welcomed to get fancy in a Fancy Nancy themed party. There will be a Fancy Nancy book reading, fancy crafts, and fancy snacks. Join the extravaganza (a 'fancy' name for party)!

Power Paws for Kids

Children of all ages will have the opportunity to read a library book to one of the registered Delta Society Pet Partner dogs (accompanied by their trainers). The dogs are provided through Power Paws for Kids, a non-profit organization. Registration is not required.
