Saturday night, the Kouts High School boys basketball team faced off against the Boone Grove Wolves in the PCC Tournament Championship game. The Kouts Mustangs started off with a large 43-14 lead by the half and continued to carry that lead to the end of the game, winning with a score of 79-50. Head coach of Kouts, Kevin Duzan, expressed his joy over the win.
“This is our third year of winning this tournament,” Duzan said. “It was the goal of these guys coming in, they wanted to three-peat. It’s not something that happens very often in this conference because it’s so competitive.”
“Tonight they came out and they proved that they had what it took to win it. I couldn’t be happier for this group right now<” Duzan said. “I’m really excited that they got it done.”
The Mustangs (14-2) and the Wolves (9-4) will once again face off on January 29 at 7 pm.
