Gabis Arboretum appeals to the needs of couples looking to tie the knot.
“So many couples had to cancel or postpone their weddings last year due to the pandemic and it was heartbreaking to see the disappointment they went through,” said Peyton Lindquist, Events Coordinator. “This year, we’re seeing more and more couples looking to outdoor venues, like Gabis Arboretum, to host their special day.”
Gabis Arboretum is focused on giving couples a celebration to remember with the addition of new outdoor venues. While the traditional outdoor Meyer Memorial Pavilion overlooking Heron Pond is still available, new outdoor venues have been added that accommodate smaller, more intimate ceremonies.
“We have 300 acres of property here at the arboretum so there are plenty of options to accommodate the needs of our couples,” said Lindquist. “We’ve added several new rental locations to our list including a beautiful outdoor structure which overlooks the wetland, the area surrounding the largest oak tree on property which perfectly shades the ceremony area, and an elegant intimate pavilion surrounded by trees and prairie.”
All gatherings will be held in compliance with state and local guidelines in place on the day of the event. Dates are still available in 2021. Inquiries can be directed to Peyton Lindquist, 219-462-0025 or gabisarboretum@pnw.edu.
