Franciscan Health Foundation Gala set for Oct. 29 at Field Museum

Franciscan Health Foundation Gala set for Oct. 29 at Field Museum

After cancelling in 2020 due to COVID-19 and hosting a virtual event last year, the Franciscan Health Foundation is pleased to announce the return of the annual gala, live and in-person, at The Field Museum in Chicago.

The Franciscan Health Foundation Gala will take place from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at The Field Museum, 1400 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. The event will feature a cocktail hour, four dinner stations, live music by the Connexion Band, dancing, a silent auction and fellowship. The Field Museum will also open its exhibits, allowing guests to explore during the celebration.

“We are thrilled to welcome our supporters back to an in-person annual Gala,” Franciscan Health Foundation Executive Director Rick Peltier said. “We are grateful for all of our sponsors, donors and attendees, because they make the event possible and, most importantly, create transformational change and impact for the most vulnerable patient populations we serve. Their generous support is truly making a difference in our communities.”

The silent auction is open to the public and participants do not need to attend the Gala to bid on auction items. The Franciscan Health Foundation is accepting donations for the silent auction through Oct. 14.

Among the items up for auction are tickets to Chicago sporting events, restaurant dinner experiences, golf packages and much more. Auction items can be viewed and bid upon online at https://qtego.net/qlink/franciscanhealth.

All of the proceeds from the event will be used to support the Community Health & Wellness Fund in the Northern Indiana and South Suburban Chicago Foundations.

The Community Health & Wellness Fund assists the most vulnerable populations in the communities served by the Franciscan Health Foundation by providing educational programming around improving health equity, interventions designed to advance access to basic needs and health services, such as food insecurity and health screenings, and furthering the Foundation’s work on building resilient families and communities.

Gala tickets are $300 each for the public, $250 for Franciscan Health co-workers at the director level or below. The registration deadline is Oct. 14.

Registration is available online at https://www.franciscanhealthfoundation.org/2022Gala.
