Doug DeWitt’s “Suggestions of Gravity” exhibiting at South Suburban College’s Dulgar Gallery

South Suburban College (SSC) Art & Design Department presents an exhibition of artist Doug DeWitt entitled "Suggestions of Gravity" in the Dulgar Gallery. The collection is available from Tuesday, October 18, through Thursday, November 17, with a closing reception on Thursday, November 17, at 11:00 am.

DeWitt stated, "My abstract found-object constructions, drawings, land art, painting, and other media are inspired by immersions in a landscape, by the colors and textures of weathered materials, and by changes occurring over time. My work presents nature without denying the intrusions of humility while evoking memories of specific places and times in the landscape."

The public is welcome to visit the free art exhibition and reception, with masks and social distancing optional. The Dulgar Gallery is on the 1st floor of SSC's Main Campus in South Holland, Illinois. The SSC Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 10:00 am- 6:00 pm, and Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The public is encouraged to check the website for current Gallery hours and can also make appointments with Gallery curator Eric Tucker. The Gallery is closed on college holidays & weekends.
