After high school, Brock joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served in many leadership roles, including training Iraqi police officers.

During his time of service, Brock received several medals and accommodations. When he returned to the Region, he attended Indiana University and began working with the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Both officers will begin the Northwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy on Monday, July 29.

“The Crown Point Police Department is excited to welcome two more officers to our ranks,” Crown Point Police Chief Ryan S. Patrick said. “Officers Brock and Rivas will make a great addition to the team.”
