On Friday, Sept. 26, the Chesterton High School Choral Music Program will host its annual Nelson’s Golden Glow fundraiser at the school during Chesterton’s Homecoming Football game against Portage.
Dinners include half of a Nelson’s roasted chicken, port-a-pit potatoes and choice of drink (water, lemonade, fruit punch) for $10, or half chicken and drink only for $7.
The CHS Choirs will offer Nelson’s Golden Glow chicken from 4:30-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26. The pick-up area for Golden Glow orders will be on the north side of CHS between Entrances 31 & 32, outside the CHS Field House. Dining areas will be available for those who wish to eat before the game, or orders may be picked up and taken to the CHS stadium. Community members who won’t be able to attend the game but would still like to order Golden Glow on Sept. 26 will be able to pull up to a reserved parking area for quick curbside service with no parking hassles.
Tickets for Nelson’s Golden Glow chicken at the CHS Homecoming game are available from any member of the CHS Show Choirs, or by contacting the CHS Music Office at 983-3730 x-7147. There will be a limited number of walk-up orders available, so purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.
