The Guild of St. Joseph Home presented the Carmelite Home of East Chicago with a check for $33,000.
Sister Maria Giuseppe accepted the donation and was thankful to the Guild for their dedication and hard work fundraising for the home.
In it's 102 year of caring for children, the sisters and staff are caring for 70 babies, toddlers, elementary-aged boys and girls, and of course, adolescent girls (including teen moms and their children). The main goals of Carmelite Home/Holy Innocents Center are to assist our children in dealing with their present life situations and to prepare them for the challenging circumstances that will confront them in the future.
