Valentine's Day is coming and its time to start making plans to impress your favorite girl or guy on the most romantic of holidays!
1. Bake a favorite dessert. Few things convey your affection like a home-baked pie, cake or other dessert favorite. Even if you go out to dinner in a restaurant, you might want to return home for a special homemade dessert.
2. Include the kids. Romance doesn't have to mean just the two of you. Sometimes, a night out with the entire family can be just as special. This is especially true if you have college-age kids or teenagers who are often busy with their own activities.
3. Sneak a surprise under his or her plate. Make your romantic dinner even more special by surprising your beloved with something expected, such as a spa or golf course gift certificate under the plate, or even a piece of jewelry.
4. Invite out-of-town friends. If you've been together for a number of years, you've likely shared many dinners alone. You can make this Valentine's Day extra special by inviting special friends that you don't see often to share the day with you.
5. Take them out for a special dinner. Of course, a meal out for Valentine's Day is a time-honored tradition. Mix it up a little by choosing a restaurant that you've always wanted to try or fall back to an old favorite that you know your beau or belle is sure to love.
It doesn't take a lot of money to make a big splash on Valentine's Day, just a little thought and pre-planning. A favorite dessert, winter picnic or a special dinner out will all let your favorite girl or guy know that you care!
