2018 Crown Point High School CPTV Class Receives Awards

Crown Point High School’s Radio & TV broadcasting program, CPTV Media, recently wrapped up its 2017-2018 competition season and received the following awards:

Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB)
Newscast Category: Staff of CPTV, “CPTV Newscast” – State Champion
Corporate Video Category: Evan Holland & Hannah Ragsdale, “Station 21 Commercial” – State Champion
Television School of the Year Runner-up: Crown Point High School
TV News Package Category: Evan Holland & Ben Land, “Indiana House Bill 1055” – 2nd Place
Cinematography Category: Nick Morgan – 2nd Place
Video In-Depth Category: Armando Bracco, “Celebrity Presidential Candidates – 3rd Place

Video Feature Story Category: Hannah Ragsdale, “Junior Roller Derby” – 2nd Place

Midwest Media Educators’ Association (MMEA)
Newscast Category: CPTV Newscast – Midwest Champion

This year’s CPTV newscast was proclaimed “Best in the State” and “Best in the Midwest.” CPTV Media is under the advisement of CPHS instructors Chris Gloff & Brent Barber.
