Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Melanie Curry as the manager of the bank’s Gary Glen Park branch, located at 4883 Broadway in Gary.
Curry joined Centier in 2019 after spending 20 years serving in banking and customer service roles. She said she looks forward to helping the community fulfill their financial goals and ensure they have access to the financial services they need.
“I am excited to lead and serve as a role model for my team, while also focusing on Centier Bank’s purpose and values,” Curry said. “Centier genuinely loves and cares for their associates and clients, which helps us deliver the personalized service that we’re known for.”
The Gary resident is fluent in Spanish, and said she aims to offer financial guidance and serve as a resource for Spanish-speaking clients at her branch.

“Melanie is passionate about providing financial guidance and ensuring clients’ needs are being met and expectations are exceeded,” Goodwin explained. “She loves her community and wants the best for each client who walks through the branch doors.”
Curry serves as treasurer for three local nonprofit organizations: 94 Feet Elite, Greater Destiny Bible Church, and Working Outside the Walls Foundation.
