Marram Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center offering preventative, primary, and integrated care to all, regardless of their ability to pay, expanded their services and the size of its offices on October 21, 2019.
The medical and dental offices remain at University Park Medical Center located at 3229 Broadway in Gary, Indiana, but the medical offices have been relocated and connected to the existing dental office on the first floor. The new space features more exam rooms, an on-site pharmacy, and an expanded reception area.
“Marram Health Center has seen tremendous growth over the past few years,” said Aileen Wehren, Vice President of Systems Administration. “By investing in our facility and recruiting more providers, we’re able to continue to expand services for our current patients and increase access to healthcare.”
The clinic will continue to provide primary care, pediatrics, psychiatry, medication-assisted treatment for addiction, obstetrics and gynecology, dental care, and behavioral healthcare.
In addition to the expanded space, Marram Health Center is expanding its dental hours with the addition of Danté Brown, DMD, MPH and Tiffany Ballard, LDH.
“We’re always focused on caring for our patients and finding new ways to meet their healthcare needs,” said Wehren.
Marram Health Center opened in Gary in December of 2015 and now serves more than 3,000 individuals annually.
Genoa Pharmacy will operate the on-site pharmacy. Earlier this year, Marram Health Center opened a second location at 704 S. State Road in Hebron.
