The Munster Police Department is currently seeking donations towards the 2016 National Night Out Against Crime Celebration, which will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Munster Community Pool (8837 Calumet Avenue). This annual event promotes police and community partnerships through a variety of both fun and educational activities for all ages, and is completely funded through donations from local residents, businesses, and community organizations.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to the Town of Munster (memo: NNO) and mail them to the Munster Police Department, c/o Officer James Ghrist, 1001 Ridge Road, Munster, IN 46321.
Please also make plans to attend this year's event, which is coming up very soon. Approximately 2,000 residents participated last year, and our event received a National Participation Award from the National Association of Town Watch.
