On Tuesday, June 16, Porter-Starke Services will host its Learn@Lunch series with an informative educational lecture entitled, "Exploring the Adolescent Brain" from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Porter-Starke Services located at 701 Wall Street in Valparaiso - Please use Entrance C. Todd Willis, MA, LMHC, Director of Children's Services at Porter-Starke Services will be the featured presenter.
Please join us at this Learn@Lunch geared towards parents, teachers, and mental health workers. Mr. Willis will discuss adolescent brain development and how it affects learning as well as social and emotional development. He will also cover how substance use and social media in turn affects the developing adolescent brain.
The Learn@Lunch series consist of monthly educational seminars featuring informative and practical mental health and wellness topics. Seminar locations rotate between Valparaiso, Portage and Knox and are open to the general public as well as clinicians and educators. When applicable, Porter-Starke Services offers 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for $5.00.
