This
Saturday, Hobart High School hosted the NCC Championship wrestling meet. The
schools that participated were Andrean High School,
Highland High School, Hobart High
School, Kankakee Valley High School, Lowell High School,
and Munster High School. Head coach Jason
Cook expressed his happiness with the team’s win.
“Winning
a conference title is the
number one goal of most seasons,” Cook said. “We
had some tough teams, but our guys came to perform. I’m really proud of them
all, just for dealing with so much adversity and so
many challenges this year, and I think this was the best we’ve wrestled all
year.”
Highland
placed sixth with 115 points. Andrean made fifth place with 134. Munster placed
fourth with 166 points. Lowell made third place with 182 points. Kankakee
Valley placed second with 192.5 points. And, finally, Hobart made first place
with 297.5 points.
