The Crown Point Bulldogs softball team hosted the Munster
Mustangs this Thursday night on their home field. The
Mustangs started out strong, with #18 Hailey Sullivan scoring a home run in the
top of the first after two outs. The Bulldogs followed with a double by #19
Madi Elish, which allowed one of her teammates to score a run.
Neither team scored again until the bottom of the fourth, when a hit by #28 Brinkley Kita allowed the Bulldogs to score their second run. The Bulldogs continued to build their lead with a hit by #1 Aubrey Wroble.
The Mustangs were able to score one more run, but were not able
to recover. The Bulldogs finished the night with a win, the final score being
3-2. Crown
Point coach Angie Richwalski commented on what the
team did well.
“I feel like our hitters finally got a little bit more
aggressive and started chasing some pitches that they should have been chasing
this whole time,” Richwalski said. “And they put the ball in play really well
when we needed to.”
