The Lake Central Indians defeated the Munster Mustangs 59-53 in a girls basketball sectional match-up on Tuesday evening. The win moves Lake Central to the Sectional Semi-Final where they will face Gary West Side.
Lake Central’s win was powered by a balanced team effort, with four girls posting double digit point totals including: Riley Milausnic, Vanessa Wimberly, and Ayla Krygier. Aniyah Bishop led the team with 14 points, while Munster’s star sophomore Graycn Gilliard led all scorers with a 28 point effort.
Lake Central’s record heading into their game against West Side sits at 21-4, while the Mustangs close their season at 18-5.
