Tonight the Hammond Central Wolves took on the Hammond Morton Governors in the first round of the 2023 Sectional tournament, held at Lake Central High School. In a back and forth, down to the last free throws game, the Hammond Central Wolves were able to edge out the Hammond Morton Governors with a final score of 57-55.
The leading scorer for the Wolves tonight was Indiah Hutchinson with 24 pts.
The leading scorer for the Governors tonight was Vanesse Carrera with 16 pts.
The Wolves will move on in the tournament, playing Gary West Side on Febuary 3rd @ 5PM.
