The Crown Point Bulldogs claimed victory in the Battle of the Leather Helmet on Friday night, defeating their old rivals, the Lowell Red Devils, 44-7 in their season opener.
The defending Semi-State Champions looked strong from the start, leading the Red Devils by 38-0 going into the half.
The Bulldogs open their season 1-0 and are set to challenge the Arizona College Prep Knights, who will be visiting from Chandler, Arizona, next Friday.
The Red Devils, meanwhile, will look to bounce back when they visit the La Porte Slicers.
