Whether you are seeking a new location, planning an expansion project, or starting a new business, the Lake County IN Economic Alliance (LCEA) is here to help you grow. Lake County, IN is minutes from Chicago and is truly one of the most business friendly environments in the country. According to multiple publications and sources, the State of Indiana has the best business climate in the midwest and 5th nationally.

LCEA works to strengthen the economic base and quality of life in all its communities by supporting the growth of business and attracting new quality investment that results in greater employment opportunities in NWI.

Created out of a cooperative relationship among Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, NIPSCO, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) and Northwest Indiana Forum, our goal is to create jobs by advancing a county-centric coordinated approach to economic development.

LCEA is the one stop shop for the entire business development process including but not limited to project development and management, community contacts/arrangements, data analysis, incentives options with our local and IEDC partners, retention and expansion services, county/community marketing and promotion, and media relations.

The LCEA role is clear:
- Promote stability, growth and development of business and industry in Lake County, Indiana
- Recruit new and retain existing business, jobs and investment
- Market Lake County to site selectors and companies through conferences, tradeshows and media outlets
-Respond promptly to inquiries, gather information, and provide area knowledge
-Maintain a comprehensive database of available property information and listings
- Share incentive information and provide local support.
- Manage projects in strict confidentiality
- Assist small businesses in conjunction with the Chambers of Commerce, NWI Small Business Development Corporation (business planning/strategy) and the Regional Development Company ( Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 and 7A loan programs)
