Drone footage by Steve Reeve from the Republic Airways Training Center construction project. This 40,144 SF building in the 80-acre Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis was completed in June of 2016. At the same time, Holladay Construction Group completed a new road to open up 30 acres for development within the Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex-Indianapolis. olladay Construction Group, LLC was formed in 2007 so our company could expand and provide construction services to third-party clients. • Holladay Properties Vice President of Development Ryan Kelly loves his work Holladay, HCG, & Robertson: The Grand Park Project

Holladay, HCG, & Robertson: The Grand Park Project

The Grand Park Events Center (http://www.holladayproperties.com/portfoliolisting/4400) is the largest indoor soccer facility the world. The project marked a strategic partnership between the City of Westfield Indiana, Holladay Properties, and Holladay Construction Group. The project involved the complete design/build construction of a 377,560 square foot multi-use indoor sports and events center with an arena featuring three full size soccer fields as well as a two-story flex center with retail and office space, meeting rooms, a bar with arena viewing, and a family-oriented restaurant. With a project of this size, we expected issues to arise...and they did. However, with Holladay Properties and HCG working side-by-side with the City of Westfield and the building manufacturer, Robertson Building Systems, the problems that did present themselves were quickly overcome. After construction began in June 2015, one particular challenge presented itself. The arena of the Events Center features one of the longest clear spans in the building manufacturers' history, a 285-foot clear span, which proved an obstacle during the steel erection process. When the first beam on the west field was ready to be installed, wind gusts in excess of 18-milesper-hour caused the beam to torque and shut down steel erection. This issue caused a significant delay in the construction of the arena and to solve this problem, Holladay, HCG and Robertson brought in one of the top five erection engineers in the country. The engineer, the steel manufacturer, erector and safety managers came together to develop a site-specific steel erection plan to withstand 120-mile-per-hour winds. Because of the initial delay, the steel erection of the arena took place during the coldest, wettest months of the year and we lost several days due to weather. The Grand Park Events Center project is significant due to its Fast Tract Design/Build Deliver Method, which means that the design was ongoing throughout the life of the project. Plans changed almost daily and we ended up with 543 change orders which were driven by the final scope and design changes. However, despite the innumerable design changes and the challenges faced before and during construction, the project was delivered seven days early and on budget. The project fills a need for year-round event space at the Grand Park Sports Campus, providing the City of Westfield opportunity to realize maximum economic development return. The facility makes Grand Park a year round sporting destination and has already spurred the development of additional businesses including two hotels. The project is also unique in its design as it was planned to be adaptable for multiple uses. The three fields can be used for multiple indoor sports during cold-weather months and can also be covered for trade shows, conventions, concerts and other events. The uses of the building and the arena are unlimited and this was planned during the design-phase of the project, which took over a year and began in 2014. The economic importance of this project is myriad and will draw families and business for years to come. The look of the facility is also unique, as a pre-engineered building, it could have had a more industrial look, but it was designed to be the focal point of Grand Park with a retail/sporting look instead.

60 Years! A History of Holladay Properties: Part 7 of 8

In Part Seven of our 60th Anniversary collection, we recap the years from 2009 to 2012. Narrated by Senior Vice President of Development, Chris Wilkes of our Indianapolis Office, Part Seven opens with the effects of the Great Recession; our first LEED certified development in Nashville, TN; the development of two cancer facilities in Northern Indiana, our partnership with IU Health-LaPorte Hospital; and the status of the company at the end of 2012. Holladay Properties celebrated its 60th year in business in 2012. As part of the celebration, a video was created for employees of the company to enjoy at our annual Holiday Party in December, 2012. The video is a history of Holladay Properties since its founding in 1952 and describes the path the company has taken since its early years. The video describes the transition Holladay Properties has made from small part of the Holladay Corporation based in Washington, D.C., to its own company based in South Bend, Indiana and all steps in between. Founded in 1952, Holladay Properties has grown and diversified from the construction of single-family tract housing to become a full-scale land development company, design/build firm and fully integrated real estate company. With more than 200 full-time associates and offices in several major metropolitan areas, Holladay Properties has completed a comprehensive array of projects throughout the country. Holladay Properties is dedicated to developing and building real estate projects with long-term tenants, joint-venture partners and challenging its 200+ associates in a wide variety of property types. Headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, Holladay has offices in a half dozen major metropolitan areas and has worked throughout the country, completing well over $2 Billion of real estate since its founding. With over 70 partnerships, 13 joint ventures and many long-term financial relationships, Holladay is widely diversified by product types. The core of Holladay Properties' development is long-term, master-planned communities. Most are being developed with institutional or family partners and range in size from 186 acres to over 1,500 acres. Product types range from big-box retail (Bass Pro Shops®) to distribution centers (Pepsi®), data centers (Allstate® Insurance), office and classroom buildings (Purdue University), medical (Pinnacle Health Care) and hospitality (Hilton® and CarlsonSM). Each mixed use project is home to several build-to-suit projects, often for specialty lab or data center buildings. Holladay has completed big-box retail as well as lifestyle centers and strip centers. Most of its retail is "mixed use," often being completed in Holladay master-planned communities with joint-venture partners. Projects range from build-to-suits to significant joint venture retail centers and entertainment projects. Holladay owns and manages the Hilton® and CarlsonSM brands as well as independent hotels. We run a conference center, two restaurants and other entertainment projects. This area of the company has generally been part of master-planned communities and services our nearby commercial, industrial and office centers. Holladay Properties has completed over 25 commercial build-to-suits ranging from data centers to corporate headquarters and warehouses. Most of these office buildings have been in "downtown" locations. In addition, we have several joint ventures on bio tech laboratories and a 500,000 sq. ft. distribution center. Holladay has an impressive management portfolio of several hundred medical office buildings, housing virtually every type of specialty including surgery centers, dialysis clinics and specialty hospitals. In addition, we have a portfolio of medical-related buildings which have been built from the ground up. Holladay Properties is a vertically integrated company with management, design, planning and construction handled internally. We invite you to visit each of our specialty web sites or to contact our President for further information. The demands of the commercial real estate business require a commitment to service, productivity and quality that the customers of Holladay Properties have come to expect. The employees of Holladay Properties are committed to providing excellence in service to our communities and our customers in the areas of management, maintenance, accounting, brokerage, and development services. We should all work to create an atmosphere of trust and cooperation that creates opportunity and promotes personal growth for all employees in the delivering of this mission. We expect to be the best at what we do! "Committed to Excellence in Service!"

Fast Park Phase II Drone Flight | 10-7-16

Great addition to our Drone Flight Video collection. This video was shot by licensed Drone pilot, Steve Reeve at the site of our Fast Park Phase II project on October 7, 2016 located at AmeriPlex-Indianapolis. The flyover footage is shown at 1.5 speed, but check out the live action shots of the payloader and excavator at work towards the end. HCG has three licensed Drone pilots on staff and offers Drone services as requested by the Owner. Here are just a few examples of ways we can use Drone technology in the management of your construction project: • Construction Surveying - Drones can be used for effective aerial land surveying and inspections of sites. Construction firms can save resources, time and manpower by having a drone survey tight areas or places that are difficult for people to physically reach, capture images, discover access points, and gather information that can help contractors calculate the site’s dimensions. • Documenting how work is progressing - We can use drones to perform surveillance throughout the work site—identify if work is going as scheduled or falling behind in specific areas, if safety and health measures are being observed, and if security is being maintained. A drone’s enhanced mobility and cost-efficiency has been found to be more beneficial than the stationary CCTV technology. • Observing area lighting - Construction projects take lighting into consideration and drones can be especially useful in monitoring lighting conditions and variations onsite during the day as well as at night. • Gathering aerial footage for marketing - Drones can capture high definition images and videos to effectively monitor the work site in real time. In addition, high quality footage from drones can be used to create valuable marketing content that can help promote the contractor’s services, or motivate potential customers to hire the firm. Likewise, the images can be shown to existing clients so they can follow the progress of the project. Using drones is much less expensive compared to getting aerial photography specialists to record footage from a helicopter.
