Safe Haven Baby Box Dedication

Event Information

This event has expired.

Mayor David Uran and the Crown Point Fire Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. are honored to announce that they have received an anonymous charitable donation of a Safe Haven “Baby Box”. The Baby Box will be located on the North side of the Crown Point Fire Station located at 126 N East St.

Please join us for a dedication of the Safe Haven Baby Box on Friday, November 1st at 11am.

“We are privileged to receive this generous donation. The Crown Point Fire Station location is the 19th Baby Box to be installed and the first in South Lake County. Mayor David Uran has always put public safety at the forefront, this is just another example of his continued support and stewardship.” stated David Crane, Crown Point Fire Chief.

“The South Haven Baby Box will give the CPFD the ability to help people who have no recourse but to surrender their infant. This method allows for anonymous surrender and ensures the infant's safety,” stated Mayor David Uran.

To help/donate with on-going program expenses, please Contact Fire Chief Dave Crane at 219-662-3249 or email firechief@crownpoint.in.gov.
