Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Cathedral will be hosting their 50th annual Greek Fest on the church grounds from July 12-14. The Merrillville Greek Festival is a treasured tradition celebrating the delicious food, music and vibrant culture of Greece. 

The gourmet food menu includes bbq lamb, Greek chicken, pork shish-ka-bob, gyro, pastitsio, Greek fries, and saganaki (Greek flaming cheese). Patrons can also enjoy a variety of homemade pastries like baklava, strudels, cookies and the infamous loukoumades – deep fried honey puffs. Outside and air conditioned inside dining available.

This year’s festival again features an outdoor beer garden and live music.

Friday, July 12 will feature local country music favorite, High Noon, who will perform from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. 

The Minitones Band will reunite in honor of this 50th year celebration!   The Minitones will perform on Saturday, July 12 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. 

Greek music will take center stage on Sunday, July 14 with Ormi playing 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. 

Greek Orthodox youth folk dancers will dance on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. This year’s festival again features an outdoor beer garden and live music.

Carnival games and rides are back! Open during festival hours each day.   There will be a $20 wristband special on Saturday, July 13 from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m. 

A $20,000 grand prize cash raffle with a $10,000 first prize cash raffle is available for $25 per tickets or 5 tickets for $100. Winners to be selected on Sunday, July 14 at 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the church main office.

Shoppers can enjoy the Greek marketplace showcasing clothing, jewelry, orthodox books and icons.

The Merrillville Greek Fest offers free admission and free parking. The church grounds are located 1 block south of Route 30 (1 mile west of I-65) on 8000 Madison Street in Merrillville.  

Festival hours are Friday 5 p.m. -11 p.m. and Saturday 12 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
