LatinXAmerican Virtual Exhibit
Latinx communities account for over 18% of the U.S. population, but only 2.8% of artists in collections at major U.S. art museums are Latinx people. This exhibition reflects a multi-year initiative to increase the visibility of Latinx artists and voices in museums, working towards equity and lasting transformation.
This virtual tour will explore the shifting and at times contradictory social, cultural, political, and artistic identities between Latinx artists of different circumstances and generations.
LatinXAmerican includes photographs, paintings, works on paper, sculptures, textiles, videos and installations from artists living throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
