Celebrate ‘Da Region at 219 Day

Event Information

The 219 Day is at the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 15 from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.  This year, the event’s theme is “The Year of the Rat”, based on the Chinese Zodiac Calendar.  There will be a giant Rat Race obstacle course, chances to win “Beer Money”, Temporary Tattoos, Selfie Booth, Kung Fu Rat Piñata and more.  The event is free admission.

The live entertainment includes:  One Timer https://www.facebook.com/OneTimerMusic/, CoJack and Company https://www.facebook.com/CojackandCompany/ and Pearl Jam Tribute Chicago https://www.pearljamtributechicago.com/.  Various Region craft and domestic beers will be available for your enjoyment.  Misbeehavin’ Meads from Valparaiso is returning and mixed drinks will be available.  There will also be some wine and Pepsi products.  Food vendors exclusive to the Region will be on hand as well. 

T-shirts (photo attached) for the event will be available for purchase at www.219day.com.  Past T-shirts will also be available for sale at the event while supplies last. New this year, in addition to the 219 Region knit hats (photo attached), there will be 219 baseball caps (photo attached) available for purchase at the event as well.
