Co-Ed Summer Sports Training camp in Lake Station

The City of Lake Station in partnership with the Lake Station School Corporation, Midwest Factory 55 and JCOM proudly invite you to join the highly anticipated Co-Ed Summer Sports Training Camp on June 17, 2024, at the exclusive Riverview Park, 2701 Ripley Street, Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Registration starts on April 8th - April 30th at the following locations Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:00 pm: Virgil I. Bailey Elementary School, 2100 Union Street, Lake Station, IN 46405, Phone: 219-962-1302, Alexander Hamilton Elementary School, 2900 Lake Street, Lake Station, IN 46405, 219- 962-1824, Thomas A. Edison Jr. Sr. High School, 3304 Parkside Avenue, Lake Station, IN 46405, Phone: 219-962-8531 and the Parks & Recreation Department, 2701 Ripley St, Lake Station, IN 46405, (219) 962-7508. Special registration on Saturday from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm April 13th, 20th & 27th in the City Hall building located at 1969 Central Ave, Lake Station, IN 46405. 

The training camp will give access to high quality youth development sports programs for children ages 7-18 living in Lake Station and the surrounding communities. The camp will offer activities such as Basketball, Flag Football, Softball and Pickle ball. There will be three weeks of special one on one conditioning and technique training with an experienced CPR Certified coaching staff. All participants will receive Free lunch & Lake Station School Corporation will provide Free transportation for Lake Station Students only. Lake Station School Corporation will provide their parents with a pick-up schedule. The Co-Ed Summer Sports Training Camp is the first of its kind and we want to make it GREAT for our children! 

In addition to the exclusive sports experience offered through the Co-Ed Summer Sports Training Camp, the participants will be given the opportunity to display the skills they learned through special tournaments and to help them discover and realize their full potential. We encourage family and friends as well as the community to come out and cheer on our children, the most valued resource in our community. On August 3, 2024 at Riverview Park, 2701 Ripley Street, Lake Station, Indiana 46405 there will be a community vendor fair and award ceremony for all participants.

Mayor Bill Carroll, Superintendent Dr. Tom Cripliver and the City of Lake Station believe that by providing opportunities for enrichment and helping children and teens form meaningful relationships, they grow socially and emotionally and build skills for the 21st century.
