westchester-photo-montageLibrary Film Series to show Ride Along
Westchester Public Library will show Ride Along on Saturday, May 17, at 5 pm. Meet at the Library Service Center, 100 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton. No registration is necessary; attendance is free of charge.

For the past two years, high-school security guard Ben (Kevin Hart) has been trying to show decorated APD detective James (Ice Cube) that he’s more than just a video-game junkie who’s unworthy of James’ sister Angela (Tika Sumpter). Ben finally gets accepted into the academy and, thinking he’s won James’ respect, asks for his blessings to marry Angela.

Thinking that a Ride Along will show if Ben has what it takes to take care of Angela, James invites him on a shift designed to scare the trainee. But the wild night takes them to the most notorious criminal in the city, and James finds that his new partner’s mouth is just as dangerous as bullets.

Enjoy munching popcorn while watching the movie.

Ride Along, rated PG-13 for sequences of violence, sexual content, and brief strong language, has a running time of 99 minutes.
