Thomas and Hageman branches of Westchester Public Library, the Westchester Public Library Service Center and the Westchester Township History Museum will be closed Wednesday, December 24, for Christmas Eve and Thursday, December 25, for Christmas. All library buildings will resume regular hours on Friday, December 26. The Chesterton Adult Learning Center and the office of the Westchester Township Trustee will also be closed for the Christmas holiday.

All library facilities will also be closed Wednesday, December 31, for New Year’s Eve and Thursday, January 1, 2015, for New Year’s Day. All library buildings will resume regular hours on Friday, January 2.

Thomas Library, located at 200 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton, is open Monday-Friday from 9 am – 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am-5 pm and Sunday from 1-5 pm. Hageman Library, located at 100 Francis St., Porter, is open Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm, Saturday from 1-5 pm, and is closed on Sunday. The Westchester Public Library Service Center, located at 100 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton, is open as needed for meetings. The Westchester Township History Museum, located in the Brown Mansion at 700 W. Porter Ave., Chesterton, is open to the public free of charge Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 pm.

Introduction to Hoopla
Bits and Bytes will continue at Westchester Public Library with Introduction to Hoopla. Attendees will meet in the computer classroom located in the Serials/Automation Department on the second floor of Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton, on Tuesday, January 6, from 6-8 pm, with a repeat session on Thursday, January 8, from1-3 pm. Registration for each class is underway.
