Wen Named Duneland MVP; Lady Bulldogs Complete Perfect Conference Season

crown-point-bulldogs-logoThe Crown Point Lady Bulldogs tennis team followed up their undefeated conference season with Qing Wen and Abby Kvachkoff being named to the All-Duneland Athletic Conference first team. In addition, Wen was named the conference MVP and the top player at No. 1 singles.

The award for the top pair of No. 1 doubles players was shared by Chesterton (Natalie Petro and Ellen Kerr) and Valparaiso (Brooke Sever and Caitlin Kennedy).

The Lady Bulldogs won the conference title, and were followed by Valparaiso (6-1), Michigan City (5-2), Chesterton (4-3), La Porte (3-4), Portage (2-5), Lake Central (1-6) and Merrillville (0-7).

The Crown Point duo was joined on the all-conference squad by Petro, Kerr, Abby Burke and J.J. Lee of Chesterton, Sever, Kennedy and Rachel Crookston of Valparaiso, Kristi Tinsley of Lake Central, Megan Metmer of Michigan City and Caroline Boger of La Porte.
