Weiss Entities celebrates grand opening with ribbon cutting at Golfview Apartments

Residents of the Golfview Apartments complex, along with several employees, celebrated with Weiss Entities at a grand opening ceremony for their community on Thursday, May 8. The event was honored with a ribbon cutting followed by a gathering.

Don Weiss, president of Weiss Entities, circled this date on his calendar a long time ago. He’s excited that the moment has finally arrived to provide an enhanced way of living in this community.

“Golfview represents our commitment to creating housing solutions that are both attainable and high in quality,” Weiss said. “Our aim is to provide reasonably priced residences that don’t compromise on comfort or amenities.”

While the excitement is at an all-time high for this grand opening, Weiss believes this will have a tremendous impact on the Golfview community moving forward.

“We took a property that had not had any updates in decades and completely overhauled it,” he explained. “Now, residents are enjoying brand new units. Events like this are important because they showcase the dramatic improvements we’ve made.”

Family, friends, and employees all came together for the ribbon cutting ceremony. This grand opening could have simply been announced, but to have an opportunity to celebrate with family, friends, and employees who helped contribute to this project makes it even more special.

“This has been a very demanding project,” he noted. “Many units remained occupied during the renovation, which added significant complexity. Our team has gone above and beyond.”

Last year, Weiss Entities closed on a new property at Golfview and celebrated the property staff. All of the projects at Golfview have taken a collaborative effort from multiple departments with experienced leaders, and this one was no different.

“We’ve been fortunate to have a cohesive, highly capable team,” Weiss said. “Angela Fielder, our Vice President of Real Estate Operations, led the charge. Our maintenance crew put in long hours, and our Vice President of Construction, Bob Billick, worked tirelessly to meet the demands. Chief Financial Officer Bob Sotak played a key role in aligning the financial vision with the construction strategy. This was a true team effort.”

It’s an exciting day for the residents in this community as well as people who are looking for a new place to call home.

“This project required creativity and vision, particularly in financing,” Weiss added. “While others might make minimal upgrades, we invested nearly three times more per unit to ensure quality and long-term value.”

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees were invited to units 555 and 654 to see new residences in each building.

The event was catered by Chick-Fil-A.
