Congressman Pete Visclosky hosted a military academy information session for prospective applicants interested the five U.S. military academies at the Lake County Public Library in Merrillville.
Applicants who are from the First Congressional District and interested in attending a military academy attended the event. Students learned about the educational opportunities and the application process of the following institutions:
U.S. Military Academy at West Point
U.S. Coast Guard Academy at New London
U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point
U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis
U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs
Members of the Congressman’s Military Academy Nomination Board were also on hand to meet prospective applicants.
