Pete-ViscloskyCongressman Visclosky announced that Anew Life Youth Development Corporation of Gary will receive $1,041,93 for its YouthBuild Gary program.

Anew Life Youth Development Corporation works with partners throughout Northwest Indiana to assist youths looking to build professional skills while earning their degree. Pastor Davis said, “We are proud to be selected for the 2013-2016 Department of Labor grant. This grant represents a confirmation of the trust and faith given to Anew Life Youth Development Corporation to address the holistic needs of youth in our community through YouthBuild Gary. This opportunity will allow the agency to build a stronger network of services for the YouthBuild Gary Program and allow 60 selected youth a great pathway to self-sufficiency.”

Congressman Visclosky said, “Anew Life Youth Development Corporation deserves praise for its commitment to local youth and community development. Their good work makes a lifelong difference to participants, helping them cultivate vital professional skills, earn their GED or high school diploma, and improve their chances of getting a job later in life. I am grateful for the work that they continue to do on behalf of our area’s youth, and for all of their efforts to procure this important funding.”
