Virtual reality technology allows students to travel around the world

Chesterton Middle School was awarded $7590 from the Library Services and Technology Act Grant, managed by the Indiana State Library. Funds granted for the 2019-2020 school year were used to purchase new group and 1:1 teacher and student-led Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies. Chesterton Middle School Media Specialist Mary Gish and Media Secretary Nadia Komp collaborated with 171 classes and multiple disciplines throughout this past school year using this technology. This technology allowed students the opportunity to travel around the world visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C., Charles Dickens’ home in England, and Festivals Around the World.
