A Valpo tradition for 52 years, Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso’s Pancake Day welcomes attendees back to the tasty event this year. Scheduled for Sunday, June 6, Pancake Day is set to be a fun morning filled with delicious food, entertainment, a kid zone and community fellowship. New this year – a topping bar with blueberries and chocolate chips to add a little extra sweetness to your breakfast.
The event will take place at the newly remodeled Porter County Expo Center from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso wants interested community members to note the change in location since previous Pancake Days were held in the Valparaiso High School cafeteria.
The excitement for this year’s Pancake Day is two-fold. Not only is it going to be a spectacular celebration following the cancellation of last year’s event because of the pandemic, but the event is also part of Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso’s celebration of 100 years of service. Since 1921, Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso has been serving the community, promoting the work of countless hard-working people, businesses, and organizations, and fulfilling the greater mission of serving the children of the world through Kiwanis International.
2021 is their centennial year of service, and the organization’s passion continues to grow as they look forward to another 100 years of benefiting those who need it most. Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso is extending a warm thank you to the many supporters and local residents who have made every moment of the past 100 years so special, and looks forward to expressing their gratitude to those in attendance at Pancake Day.
As the largest club in Indiana and 8th largest in the world, Kiwanis Club of Valparaiso is committed to serving its community through the work of its dedicated and passionate members. Proceeds from this year’s event support the Kiwanis mission of changing the world one child and one community at a time through donations to organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, the Amanda Forum at the Caring Place, the YMCA, Special Olympics and so much more.
