The University
of Saint Francis recognized faculty achievements at its annual Faculty
Scholarship Banquet on Aug. 20. Instructors who won university awards,
completed advanced degrees or earned tenure, promotions and sabbaticals were
honored.
The 2018-19 Leepoxy Award for Teaching Excellence was awarded to Dr. Courtney
Lloyd, assistant professor of physician assistant studies.
Dr. Ken Bugajski, professor of English, was awarded the 2018-19 Teaching
Excellence and Campus Leadership Award.
Faculty earning promotions in 2018-19 include:
- Rachel Gilson, assistant professor of nursing
- Dr. Michael Levan, associate professor of English
- Carrie Miller, assistant professor of surgical technology
- Gregory Smith, assistant professor of accounting
- Dr. Vincent Wargo, associate professor of philosophy
- Lori Westropp, associate professor of social work
Faculty earning tenure in 2018-19 include:
- Julie Gardner, assistant professor of biology
- Dr. Michael Levan, associate professor of English
- Dr. Susan Lown, assistant professor of nursing
- Beverly Moellering, associate professor of nutrition
- Gregory Smith, assistant professor of accounting
- Dr. Vincent Wargo, associate professor of philosophy
- Lori Westropp, associate professor of social work
Faculty members who were honored for completing advanced degrees are:
- Dr. Joshua Fairbanks, instructor of physician assistant studies
- Dr. Michelle Hoffman, assistant professor in physical therapist assistant program
- Dr. Caitlyn Krouse, assistant professor of nursing
- David Stehlik, assistant professor of management

- Fall 2019 - Dr. Lou Weber, professor of biology
