Urban League of Northwest Indiana to Host “Relationship Status”

Urban-League-NWI-Logo(Gary, IN) The Young Professionals of Northwest Indiana Urban League, an affiliate of the Northwest Indiana Urban League will be hosting a panel discussion on relationships, social values, and gender roles in the 21st century on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 6 p.m. at Indiana University-Northwest, Bergland Auditorium, 3400 Broadway, Gary, IN. The moderator will be Mr. Isaac Paul Austin from the popular "Tequila Tales" hosted in Chicago, IL. The goal of this event is to provide an open and non-judgmental environment for highly engaging discussion on the evolution of love and relationships.

The Young Professionals is a volunteer auxiliary for the Urban League of Northwest Indiana, Inc., a Gary, IN, nonprofit corporation (the "ULNWI"). The purpose of the Young Professionals is to support the mission of the ULNWI in promoting education, financial literacy and health and wellness in Lake, La Porte, and Porter counties. Specifically, the Young Professionals will aid the Affiliate through membership growth, fund development and community service work. This specific project aligns with the Health and Wellness initiative and is a panel discussion with expert professionals in the Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland areas from various professional backgrounds who will provide knowledgeable insight on all topics presented. Ultimately, this discussion will provide insight on our diverse thought processes as it relates to relationships, while participants take away a sense of community and connection with others who may experience the same issues associated with social relationships and its effects, which is key in building relationsips. Additionally, we want to provide guests with a valuable way to communicate thoughts and opinions, while improving upon their relationshipsto lower or eliminate negative effects on the well-being of all parties involved
