United Way of Porter County is pleased to announce a new partnership with six local golf courses: The Course at Aberdeen, The Brassie Golf Club, Creekside Golf Course, Duck Creek Golf Course, Forest Park Golf Course, and River Pointe Country Club.
The golf courses and United Way have collaborated to create the “United Way Golf Card” which entitles the card holder to one free round of golf (green fees only) at each of the six courses. Cards are available for a donation of $50 each. Golf cart rental and scheduling of tee times are required. Other restrictions may apply, and the card is valid though the 2012 golf season.
Sharon Kish, President of United Way of Porter County, is excited about the collaboration. “United Way is fortunate to have so many golf courses on board for a great fundraising experience,” Kish said. “It’s a win-win for everyone: A great value for golfers to experience our local, unique courses; a great way for golfers to support United Way while they play; and a great opportunity to help bring added prosperity to the courses.”
Interested golfers may obtain their cards from the United Way office located at 951 Eastport Centre Drive, Valparaiso. For more information, call 219/464-3583. Order forms are also available on the United Way website at www.unitedwaypc.org.
Proceeds from Golf Card sales will support programming at United Way Partner Agencies in the areas of health, education, and financial stability. What does this mean? Children will benefit from before/after school programs, senior citizens will receive Meals on Wheels, and homeless families will have shelter over their heads. And, these are just a few of the programs United Way dollars fund.
