Two Scholarships Awarded at 2016 Mike Brown Jr. Memorial Golf Outing

Two-Scholarships-Awarded-at-2016-Mike-Brown-Jr-Memorial-Golf-OutingThe fourteenth annual Mike Brown Jr. Memorial Golf Outing was held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Pheasant Valley Country Club where two scholarships, totaling $2,000 were awarded to Crown Point High School graduating seniors. Mike Brown was a 2002 graduate of CPHS who died tragically in a car accident at the age of 18. Mike passed along the gift of life to four individuals who were waiting for life-saving transplants. This annual golf outing was designed to gather friends and family to celebrate Mike’s life and recognize his commitment to giving back to his community.

This year’s recipients were in the second grade when Mike passed away and continue to be touched by his legacy in a very special way. The 2012 Mike Brown Jr. Scholarship recipients are Mike Brown Sr., Scholarship recipients: Benjamin Waisnora and Andrea Kutemeier, and Kim Brown
