Traveling Vietnam War Exhibit Makes its Way to Munster High School

munster-vietnam-display-2017The Munster High School U.S. History classes were fortunate to be able to learn from a significant Vietnam War Exhibit that recently traveled to Munster High School. This outstanding exhibit was created by Dr. Joseph Bigott of Purdue Northwest and his spring of 2016 undergrad students.

Social Studies teachers, Josh Herold and Steve Lopez assisted Dr. Bigott and his graduate students in setting up the display for their social studies students. Mr. Herold stated, concerning the experience for his students, “The knowledge gained and time spent viewing this exhibit was priceless.” Mr. Lopez stated, “My classes are currently studying the Kennedy years, and his involvement in the Cold War policies of containment and Vietnam fit perfectly for the timing of the display.”

Both teachers agreed it was worth their time to bring this to Munster High School.
