Pierogi Fest, that wacky, nutty festival, organized by hundreds of volunteers, and draws hundreds of thousands of people, is just weeks away and will be held Friday July 26th (11AM to 11PM), Saturday July 27th (11 AM to 11 PM) and Sunday July 28th (11AM to 5PM) in Downtown Whiting, Indiana.
The festival offers more than 70 food booths with more than 1,200 menu items, 2 beer gardens, 55 arts and crafts and tchotchke vendors, 6 performance stages featuring a wide variety of music, and the craziest parade ANYWHERE (parade is Friday, July 26th at 7 PM).
As a special event, a free concert by Sugar Ray on our main stage will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 8:30 PM, sponsored by Hard Rock Casino. With hits like: Fly, Every Morning, Someday, When its Over, Make it Easy, Into Yesterday, and Words to Me, this should be a great evening, but then every evening is great at Pierogi Fest.
On Sunday, July 28th at 1 PM on the main stage, local celebrities will take on some of the nation’s leading physicians in a gameshow style event: “Who is Smarter than a University of Chicago Physician.”
