Now through July 29 at all Northwest Indiana Strack & Van Til food markets, the stores’ “Checkout Challenge” will provide needed support for Salvation Army programs that benefit needy children, adults and families living in Lake, Porter and Jasper Counties.
That’s right, after rounding up your groceries at your nearest Strack & Van Til, just tell the cashier to “Round Up for The Salvation Army,” and the cashier will round your purchase up to the nearest dollar, donating your change to make positive change in your community. Your donation along with the donations of others will help to provide year-round programs for those who need them most.
The Salvation Army in Northwest Indiana provides services all year long to our local communities, including youth enrichment, family empowerment, music education, after-school programs, food pantry and hot meals, emergency assistance and homelessness prevention, and summer camp.
